About
I'm a small-business person and have been in business for over 30 years. With a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Ball State University, Muncie IN, I also am an Enrolled Agent (EA), a Federally licensed tax professional. I perform CPR on your taxes: Compliance(making sure you have filed all necessary taxes), Preparation (preparing those returns that need to be prepared and filed), and Representation (representing you before the IRS should that be necessary). I am also a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS) and one of the only ones in the Tidewater area.
I enjoy helping people achieve their goal of becoming tax debt free with the IRS (or state)!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll sit down with the client and determine what is their desired outcome of the case. If their desired outcome is doable, then, we request a Power of Attorney, Form 2848, to be filled out, signed, and we fax that to IRS. We then request transcripts to see what information IRS has on the client that might help us in resolving the case. From here, we may ask for additional financial information to determine ability to make installment payments to settle the debt.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I (Ray Nations) possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Ball State University, Muncie IN. As Enrolled Agents, we are required to receive a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education credits annually to maintain our license. I also am a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute and am a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with individuals, businesses (sole-proprietors, corporations, partnerships), estates, and trusts.
