About
Lisa Rix, LPC, NCC works out of an amazing private practice called Thriveworks in Alexandria, VA. She has been working with clients for nearly 9 years. Her role as a therapist is ensuring a safe, collaborative, and creative place to explore the complexities and challenges of life. She believes therapy is about guiding people to achieve goals they may not think were possible; and assisting clients to learn to recognize their strengths and accomplishments.
Lisa has been working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families. Lisa has worked with a diverse range of people ranging from age 5 to 60. She has much experience with individuals, couples, family, and group therapy.
She has worked with clients on many various issues including: depression, dual diagnosis, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, stress related disorders, anger management, communication issues, family conflicts, grief & loss, post-partum depression, child behavioral issues, adolescent issues, ADHD, eating disorders, substance abuse/addiction, career challenges, student counseling, and chronic pain.
I really enjoy being a catalyst for change and helping people transform themselves by guiding them through their challenges and empowering them to succeed.
