Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a conversation. This can be done in-person, via Zoom or phone call. Getting to know my clients beyond their finances is important for me to better understand their goals and their concerns.
Next, I will request specific data and statements in order to put together an accurate analysis. With short-term and long-term planning in mind, the client receives a tailored Financial Planning Package. This package includes a presentation of the analysis, a set of detailed recommendations with reasons why and a summary of all.
The most important part of the process, the review step. When an individual becomes a client, we build a relationship. As life changes, the financial plan changes, and in the review process we monitor and start at step one with a new conversation.
What types of customers have you worked with?
From government employees with children, to young sales professionals, to business owners nearing retirement. I've worked with a variety of individuals in the DC Metropolitan Area, from New York down to North Carolina. This has given me the experience to better understand many levels of financial planning, and to tailor a plan that is best for the customer's specific situation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice while looking to hire a professional is to find one that you instantly get along with. Trust is important in this business, so look for someone who you want to talk to, get to know, and can see as a long-term fit.
