My typical process is meeting new clients via telephone conversations or by email. I inquire as to what specific services the new customer is interested in and I give them a detailed plan as to how my firm can assist them with their specific needs. Generally, this initial phone or email contact is followed up by initial appointment to gather all of the information. Additional information needed is garnered either by secure portal, mail or follow up appointments. When returns are complete, I sit down with the clients and go over their returns in detail to answer any and all questions. I am available by phone year round to answer client questions.  In addition to appointments during normal business hours, I have evening and week-end appointments for the convenience of my clients. 

I have been a practicing accountant and tax practitioner since 1980 and have owned my own firm since the late 80's. I was involved in a rigorous and comprehensive mentoring program in the early 80's and eventually purchased the firm from my mentor. I have had extensive accounting, tax courses, economic courses from the University of Virginia.

In the early 1980's, I was involved in a mentor-ship program for accounting and tax preparation. I was fascinated with the tax code and enjoy solving all of the accounting and tax puzzles that present themselves in different situation. I love working with people and assisting them with their accounting and tax preparation needs to help them financially.

During my 40 years of practice I have worked with many individuals with simple to extremely complex returns from almost every state. I have prepared many returns for clients living and/or working overseas. I perform accounting, bookkeeping and tax preparation services including payroll for small to medium sized businesses including corporations, sub-chapter s corporations, partnerships, fiduciaries and estate returns.
