When it comes to effectively managing one's finances, knowing when, where and what to do can be quite daunting and complex.  It requires a sound knowledge of the latest tax laws and various regulations as well as a well thoughtout, proven and pragmatic planning solution.

At CPAWS Insurance and Financial Services, we do more than taxes.  Through a wide array of service we aim to remove the complexity of financial well-being planning for the everyday, ordinary hardworking individual.

Our Liberty Tax franchise is one component of the 360 financial services we provide our clients.  By understanding our clients needs and goals, we effectively work with them to help them legally reduce their tax liability and flow savings back into their households and families.

We then offer them a complimentary insurance review, which typically helps them save $350 or more in annual insurance (home, auto and life) premiums.  For those client who recognize the value of our services, we offer debt reduction, credit repair and financial consultation focused on helping them save money, get out of debt and build generational wealth.

As a company, our mission is to help transform the financial landscape of local communities one individual, one family, one small business at a time by teaching ordinary people how to navigate life’s risk and achieve financial success through the implementation of sound financial strategies.

Empowering our clients to take control of their financial futures by informing them on a wide range of financial services to include income tax preparation/planning, risk mitigation (insurance) and wealth creation (financial) strategies designed to help them plan, build, and preserve wealth for generations.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We perform a personal interview with potential clients to understand their needs and goals.  Ideally, this is accomplished in person, although a growing number of client prefer to accomplish the entire process remotely from the comforts or their home or office.

After the needs assessment, we then provide a plan to accomplish their realistic objectives.  If the client agrees we then have them fill out our engagement and client intake documents.  Clients are assiged a client portal to upload and review documents online anytime.

Once the client implements their tax, insurance, or financial plan(s), we like to meet with them at least once again for a mid and/or end-of-year review to ensure they are on track to meet goals.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Our pricing varies based on the level of complexity and type of service involved.  In general, our tax preparation costs are in line with the national average of ($275 to $299) for a basic federal and state income tax returns (see:

We offer discounts and other promotions to our new clients.  Additionally, all new clients receive a complimentary insurance review, which typically save $350 on annual premiums and a 3 days |2 nights vacation voucher.

Give us a call to discuss your situation in more details.  Let's see if we can provide you an affordable solution to your needs.

What types of customers have you worked with?

While we work with a wide array of clients, our sandbox targets the follow types of clients:

1. Young Professionals (25-35; income > $45K)

2. Parents w/children (Single or Married; homeowners; retirement plans; mid-aged 35-55)

3.  Seniors approaching retirements (55- 65: > $250 NAV)

4.  Small Businesses (<25 employees; >$250K annual gross revenue)

A client's demographic however is not as important as their desire to learn and grow.  Regardless of demographic, we prefer clients who are teacheable/coachable, who recognize the value of our services, and who are commited to improving their financial well-being.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Many people are often more concerned about how much a service is going to cost them, rather than questioning how much not having the service done correctly is costing them.

For instance, we often get clients who ask how much a tax return is going to cost them and may complain about a $300 return.  However, after we sit with them and discuss their situation and help them recognize they are leaving $3000 a year on the table, because they are not doing everything they should to reduce their tax liability, their $300 concern becomes irrelavent.

If you are going to engage and pay a professional for their time and knowledge, at a minimum, you should have tought about:

1. What do you expect to received from the engagement?

2. What isyour timeline for the service?

3. Is this a single engagement or is it an ongoing relationship to achieve you goals?

4. Am I organized or do I need help with organzing?

When a client engages us, we promise to provide service based on Integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do.  Our goal is to demonstrate a total client commitment by placing their needs and interests at the forefront; and provide a holistic approach to Financial and Tax planning; because we firmly believe "We do it Better."
