FAQs


What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will meet with the client for a consultation based on a few intake questions. Moving forward I conduct a needs assessment to determine underlying issues so a plan of action is develop. I require that the client spend at least 3 sessions with me; however, I generally request 8 sessions to see progress.

How did you get started in this business?

When I was 17 years old and a junior in high school I was selected to be a peer facilitator. I loved it so much until I went on to study psychology in college. At 7 years old, I had already declared my lifelong dream of becoming Psychologist. More than 20 years later I received my PhD and I graduated with high honors and recognition from two honor societies. I am where I am today, fulfilling the purpose that I realized as a second grader. My specialty is intuitive psychology and I help others to realize their purpose as well.


What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with individuals, couples, groups, and organizations. I also continue to do work on myself so that I might serve my clients on all levels.


Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One of my favorite events is when I provided life counseling for a young man. He was trying to find direction in his life and his career. I counseled him on how to create a budget for his finances, how to identify his purpose and passion, and how to ground himself so that he could be the leader in his own life. Three months later, he propose to the love of his life and she accepted, he was promoted to a manager's position with a very prestigious employer; and he was able to pursue a music career on top of his other successes. I was so happy to be able to help him help himself. This is what I do.


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

My advice to my customers is to make sure that whoever you hire, connects with you and you connect with them, I have a very firm policy for this. It is important to build trust so that my clients will let me in. One of the best talents that I have is my ability to listen in between the words. A second talent, among others, is my ability to think outside the box, in terms of problem-solving. However, my greatest and most valued talent is that I strategically show people what they already know, therefore, they learn to solve their own issues.


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

The questions that I ask my clients to ponder are the following:

1.  Why did I reach out to Dr. Parker?
2.  What are three goals I want to achieve? 
3.  When would I like to achieve these goals?4.  Am I willing to do the work?
5.  What resources am I willing to invest?
