Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We assess your structure with four directional pictures. Men wear short bike shorts or a sped on, women wear bike shorts or swim bottoms and a colored sports bra. We discuss holistic stmptoms and prepare for either injury recover or the ten steps of Structural Integration by Dr. I'd Pauline Rolf.
we use a sheet on the table; but clients receive work in sitting, standing, kneeling, sidelaying, supine and prone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
both Brian and Kristy studied Dance at Brigham Young University. Brian took three years of private Pilates lessons, I focused on I Injury recovery and prevention, and we both performed on teams. Both of us trained through Utah College of Massage Therapy , and then we did continuing education in acupressure, lymph massage, Ida Rolf's method of Structural Integration. Kristy has also done trainings for diola work and nutrition. Brian did extra training by working in a training room at Utah Valley University for the sports teams.

How did you get started in this business?
It was the next step in healing. Kristy found out she had pancreatic cancer in 2011 and she decided to heal with naturopathic means. Some of the tools taught through massage therapy assisted in that process that took a year and eight months.
What types of customers have you worked with?
age 1 month to 84 years, make, female, athletes, dancer's, students, business personnel, normal people.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
we chose to have a home birth for our last two children. It is literally a piece of heaven in your home to introcude this new little being. I have the best birthing team and the most amazing body to help me surrender to the rushes and then recover and allow me to move again.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
i would say to look for someone who will teach you about your own body. I feel it is important clients know why I do things and what muscles I am working on. I technically work on fascia because it saves my clients thousands of dollars and produces results more quickly. I think more people could know that they can stop a session if they feel uncomfortable and that they can wear the viewing clothes we ask for - for any therapist. Many therapists know some fascial work and can give directional bodywork to reduce pain, increase mobility, and improve flexibility.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
where exactly do I hurt?
how much do I sleep?
how much water do I drink?
how long have I felt the pain?
what activities do I do?
did I change something?
do I stretch?
do I know how to release muscle cramps?
