Thomas Paige/Mower Counseling & Consulting
About
This business stands out by being available when clients need help even if it is on a holiday or Sunday because I understand that problems don't always happen at a perfect time.
I am also available in the midst of a crisis as many clients are victims of violence or have major mental health problems and rely on the stability of having a therapist who understands how to help them stay focused on taking care of themselves. I have extended experience in working with victims of violence, both military and civilian, having worked with both groups during my time in the Military and continue to do so. I am a Retired US Army Veteran & am Trauma Trained to help victims learn how to cope with and move on with their lives after violence.
When the client is a child and having problems at school I am willing to do Emergency appointments and these can be late appointments if needed because I feel education is important and if at all possible prefer to keep the child in class.
I have experience in working with families battling custody of children or are involved with the courts due to neglect or abuse & have learned that many people grieve for more reasons than the death of someone so I help people learn how to manage their thoughts and feelings at a pace comfortable for them because the training I have had stresses that we all grieve differently and have different needs. Personalizing those needs has been encouraging for many clients.
