About

Looking for guidance when life situations are overwhelming is a sign of health and maturity. We believe in emphasizing and building on strengths and connecting with abilities with which you may have lost connection. Our commitment to you is to be active in the process of your discovery in counseling. We will give you input and observations and will not just be passive listeners. Together, we can find solutions to your concerns. You CAN turn things around and make progress. In addition to providing relationship and family counseling, we specialize in Hypnotherapy and substance abuse treatment.

Our outpatient alcoholism/addiction program teaches you to avoid relapse risks, overcome obstacles, and move on to a life of sobriety with 12-step involvement, cognitive behavioral approaches, anger management, coping/expressing emotions, weekly family involvement and no-cost aftercare. We conduct a small group program in an intimate, casual, supportive setting. Our pricing is reasonable and we are one of the few outpatient programs that provide individual and family counseling as a part of the program. Also, our therapists' credentials are the highest in the field with proficiency and recovery experience in substance abuse.

For over 25 years, I have been helping clients and families who have a variety of issues ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, physical/emotional abuse, substance abuse, and childhood concerns. I believe in personal caring treatment. You come first! Also, in my 30+ years of sobriety, I have learned the best approaches to dealing with all types of addictions or just how best to help those who don't think they have that big of a problem. Often, the hardest part is just making the call. I always talk about the strength and wisdom it takes to reach out for resources and tools. If you take the chance and come in just once, I can almost guarantee that you will be glad you did and feel benefit and help from our contact.

Also, I have a small qualified, experienced staff who are also available to help.

I will give you input and observations and will not just be a passive listener. Together, we can find solutions to your concerns.

I get satisfaction out of passing on training, experience, tools, and resources to clients and seeing the changes and benefits that result in their lives. I get to be on the journey with people who are coming in because they are struggling with problems in their lives. That is a great priviilege.

Rob was amazing. He was understanding and non-judgemental. In the little time we spent together, I did a lot of self work for the better. He helped me understand that I am in charge of my own life. I have become more positive and loving to myself. He worked around my busy schedule and was always kind and reassuring. I recommend him to anyone who is going through codependency issues. That is what he helped me with. Thanks to Ron I learned how to start valuing myself more and setting higher expectations for the quality of my life.

I really cant say enough about Ron in terms of how valuable our sessions have been and what an overall good guy he is. So comfortable and easy to talk to, which is rare in my experience.

    Frequently asked questions

We schedule an initial assessment counseling appointment by Zoom to get background and make a plan for treatment. Then, we go from there if there is rapport and benefit for you.

All staff is credentialed and experienced in mental health and substance abuse, LPC or LCDC level clinicians. Most are in sobriety/recovery themselves.

We seek to modify our fees so that everyone can get help.

I am a recovering alcohol with 30+ years of sobriety and have been a marriage and family counselor over 28 years. I always knew, from an early age, that I wanted to be a therapist and help people.

I have worked with ALL types of issues in the mental health and substance abuse area, trauma, anxiety, depression, family issues.  I am also a hypnotherapist and employ the subconscious mind to help with progress dealing with trauma, abuse, all issues.

A client called after I had not seen them for years just to tell me how much the treatment they received with us had helped them. It was quite gratifiying to see that what we have been doing has helped someone. It's not often we find out about that kind of benefit received.

Call and ask questions and see if you feel comfortable with the therapist, if they answer your questions and are willing to help.  Go once to a session and afterward, make a decision, based on your experience there, as to whether this person can help you.
