What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A new customer will typically reach out to me with questions, concerns, description of their issue and/or request a specific service. I will consult and give feedback and possible next steps. Should the nature of concern be more complex, I may require additional time (usually up to 72 hours) to arrive at a succinct response.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BBA in accounting and MBA in Finance and various certifications. I complete continuing education hours which are mandatory for certification and tax privilege.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There is a standard pricing system for standard services. In addition, there are hourly rates that apply to cases which require more time to process or in a cases where circumstances are above or beyond the scope of standard invoicing.
How did you get started in this business?
I started working part-time tax seasons since high school. I continue throughout college and into my professional career. I have worked independent boutique tax offices, HR Block, Jackson Hewitt, CPA firms as well as a proprietor. Other professional experience includes, City of Houston, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Home Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Utilities and Capital Management. I enjoy serving individuals, small and medium sized businesses while finding meaningful exemptions, deductions, write-offs and helping them to realize goals and achievements.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have had the pleasure of serving individuals, small and medium sized businesses while leveraging experience derived from large corporate, institution and municipality roles.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of helping individuals collect refunds owed to them. I am fond of helping business owners collect refunds and find pertinent deductions relating to their entity and industry. I am most fond of tax planning for individuals to keep more money throughout the year when it is needed most. I am most fond of helping business owners with organizing, planning, increasing revenue and retaining profit.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Speak with a professional and help them to understand what you want and wish to achieve, set clear expectations, understand their process, understand expectations set for you, feel comfortable about your decision to move forward and finalize.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Who will I have to service my needs or concerns? Is this person capable of servicing my needs?
What service(s) do I need? Will there be follow on services needed or required?
When should this service be performed? Is there a deadline? Should I make an appointment?
Where is the servicer? Do I need a local servicer? Mostly personal preference but in today's climate many services are remote or moving to remote.
