FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once contacted by a prospective client, we offer a free 20-minute phone session to discuss their need for our services and to determine if we would make “a good fit’. During this time we obtain their email address, for a couple, we get both (so that same info is sent to each). We discuss what we hope will benefit them in our sessions, the types of material that they will receive with inspiration and helpful info about similar issues such as theirs. The email also tells them how to proceed, stating the cost of the session per hour, and how to schedule a session!

How did you get started in this business?

How did you get started doing this type of work?

At about age 21 while working in the Insurance Business I was impressed with the number of problems that people were having in their relationships and once I became their regular “Insurance Man” I was usually invited to offer answers. Also, since I was a relatively “newly-wed” myself, some of the answers my wife and I needed for ourselves. We started reading books, attending and then offering “married couples “ Bible-studies at church and in our home. We attended seminars, Certified Training Classes that offered many Certifications in areas of anger, communications, money, sex, and other relational issues. The more that we learned the more eager we were to share with others. After 30+ years in the Insurance Industry, we eventually started a counseling service – The Way Educational and Counseling Center, LLC.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We worked to update our 5-year-old or more website. It took a minimum of 6 months or coordination with our team and the web designer when a few stops in between. With the updated site we have expanded our service, including some that are free. It was great to see the final result.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

For a Life Coach— Check their profile, have a conversation with him/her to assure that they will be a “good-fit” to help you with your concerns and check reviews for that individual. For a Marriage and Family Counselor/Coach— Advice is basically the same for any and all Clients, would add being truthful is important, realizing that a commitment is necessary to the process and is the person really ready to make changes that might be needed in the relationship! For an anger resolution therapist – It’s important to know if the particular Therapist’s program would be recognized if this is a Court mandated situation if so, the Client must know the number of hours of class sessions that the Court requires. The client should also know what’s the Therapist’s required number of classes to take to receive a Certificate from class sessions.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their projects?

How truthful he/she is willing to be, how committed to the training process, How willing is he/she to realize that this is not an overnight process but are still willing to commit to Following the Coach, Counselor or Therapist’s plan of action.
