Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50.00 for seniors and full time studends. The price for 1040 ranges from 125.00 - 175.00 with no business (schedule C, E, F) call for a quote on a business return.
How did you get started in this business?
Started preparing tax returns when I was in college, went to work for H & R Block for a few seasons before working on my own.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Check their credentials, make sure whomever files your returns gives you a signed client copy with all schedules
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Make sure you bring a prior year return with you incase you have loss carryforwards and so they can make sure all your forms are accounted for. Bring all your current year tax documents you have received along with any contributions or donations made. Make a list of questions you have so you make sure all your needs are met.
