Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is fairly easy. The customer and I will usually talk over the phone (or email) and learn what the client needs in terms of notarial services. If I can help-- and I usually can!-- we make a plan to meet. I typically travel to a client's location.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a notary for about five years, and I've been through extensive courses on notarization in the state of Texas. I am a Certified Signing Agent (certified through the National Notary Association), I've been background checked, and I have extensive E&O insurance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Simple notarization fees are set by the state, and they are not negotiable.
Other fees depend on the types of notarizations needed. Please contact me for additional information.
How did you get started in this business?
I am not an attorney, but at one point in my life, I wanted to be one. :-) Notarization is NOT being a lawyer, but I've found that I meet very interesting people with fascinating stories.
What types of customers have you worked with?
As a mobile notary, I work a lot of residents of senior living centers. I also work with a few law offices as their traveling notary.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure the notary knows the state laws of notarization in Texas.
