I provide individual intensive therapy for those with a mental illness, substance use issues, probation, parole, resolve and provide counseling services to those with Child Protective Services cases, attend ARD meetings for school, as well as to provide counseling for those in the military.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and Board Approved Alcohol and Drug counselor and Air Force Retired, provied mental health for militarty and State Jails.
I love working with people to assist those with returning to or achieveing their optimum level of functioning. I have traveled and lived all over the world, and enjoy helping those who have challenges and have given up on goals.
I enjoy introducing those to new and innovative challenges, to include those with medical and physical limitations, to provide the hope, care and concern to motivate one to achieve their goal.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For the individual seeking services, to briefly state, what type of service they are interested in such as individual, family, crisis, or marital counseling.
State age, issue briefly, and to identify what method of payment either insurance or cash pay.
For military individuals state branch, and identify current status, retired, active, guard or reserve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bacheelor's Degree in Criminnal Justice from Michigan State University and a Master's in Psychology from the University of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Licesned Chemical Dependency Counselor, and I have been licenssed in Texas for both licenses since 1999.
I served 20 years in the United States Air Force providing mental health services, currently retired.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
First seassion $40. Sessions there after are $50 for 45 mintutes and $60 for an hour.
For insurance pay the co-pay fee only. Co-pay fee will be verified.
How did you get started in this business?
I worked for a private practice firm and the owner passed away this March, after we worked together for years. I desired to contiue on with the goals we had in mind as a sole proprietor.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with those desiring to utilize FMLA, EAP and short-term disability programs. I have provided individual, crisis, group, mental ilness and substance abuse counseling services.
My experience includes providing mental health services to those in State Jails. I have also provided services to juveniles on probation and parole, as well as to attend ARD meetings at school. I participate in attending court cases, as an expert witness in Child Protective Services cases.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently attended the 28th Annual Conference on the Management of Adult Sex Offendrs and Juveniles Who Commit Sexual Offenses
I was excited to find out how to assist those in the criminal justice system, who are usually overlooked and ostracized and discriminated against, when attempting to receive counseling services.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would encourage a counselor to have through knowledge of the DSM-5, and to present as knowledgable of the associated psychotropic medication(s), for a particular mental illness disorder.
I would request that the individual, present with familiarity of the Criminal Justice process, and how it impacts those mentally ill, when receiving short-term, long-term, and educational disabilities.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The individual should consider the minimal amount of time that he/she desires to spend working through their problem.
The individual should set a goal and to list the strategies that have presented as unsucessessful, to avoid a duplication of services.
To be specific about what they desire to receive from training, and are they willing to present as punctual and willing to respect the urgency of time and seriousness of counseling.
