Hello there! My name is Laura Butler. I obtained my Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the state of Texas.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am trained to view situations and issues through more of a systemic lens. I welcome individuals, couples, and families dealing with a diverse set of challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, communication issues, familial or romantic conflict, parent-child conflict, lack of sex and intimacy with relationships, trust issues, self esteem issues, infidelity, women issues, and trauma.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typical, new clients contact me. We schedule a consultation to get to know one another. From there, our intake session will be scheduled.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Masters of Marriage and Family degree from Abilene Christian University. I went through a practicum that was over a year long and coupled with extensive supervision.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have a standard price of $100 for individual sessions and $120 for couples sessions. However, I do offer sliding scale.I do not believe a person's income should dictate whether or not they can address their mental health needs. Sliding scales are evaluated on a case by case basis.
How did you get started in this business?
I became a therapist because I am passionate and committed to helping others overcome and hurdles in their lives in order to become the best version of themselves.
