    Frequently asked questions

We'll start with an initial consultation to assess your options. Then we'll send you an Engagement Letter listing the services we discussed, and you can electronically sign it. After that, we will create a Power of Attorney form, if applicable, for you to sign allowing us to represent you. We will create an online secure portal for us to share confidential tax documents, and you'll have access to this portal any time from anywhere with an internet access. We would provide realistic expectations and frequent updates on your case as we progress, until we come to resolution.

The Founder of IRS Tax Repair has been resolving tax cases since 2011. As an Enrolled Agent, she worked alongside CPA's, tax attorneys, and other seasoned tax professionals.

Pricing is based on the complexity of each individual case. Some cases may be resolved fairly quickly while others can take up to a year, depending on the best strategy for each client.

The Founder of IRS Tax Repair began as a Case Administrator of another tax resolution firm and pursued the Enrolled Agent's license, thereby becoming a Case Manager. As the Case Manager of over 300-400 cases on a fluctuating basis, she also supervised a staff of 6 team members, and was tasked with training all new in-coming team members of the tax resolution division.

We have worked with many different types of clients from individual taxpayers to independent contractors, to businesses of small to medium size. Our clients range from doctors, dentists, lawyers, contractors, construction, painters, truck drivers, real estate agents, photographers, daycare provideres, land surveyors, retail, bar and entertainment, gym owners, staffing agencies, to several others.

I recently had the pleasure of negotiating a client's tax debt of $76,568 down to around $7,000. This client was very relieved to have saved nearly $70,000!!

However, the case I am most proud of was working with an elderly gentlemen who owed over $1 million in taxes. I negotiated a settlement of $100! Yes, you read that correctly. Over $1 million owed in back taxes, settled for only $100!!

What I often hear from my clients who have attempted to work with other tax professionals is that they felt as if they were tossed around from representative to representative, the firm was hardly responsive, and that their case didn't end up the way they expected.

I would advise anyone seeking quality tax consultation to ask questions such as "will I be working with one person, or a specific team?". Also, I recommend calling the company a few different times to see if they are responsive. Lastly, if you're not provided with expectations as to how your case will progress, then that is a good indicator that you should continue searching. Cases can take different turns just depending on how the IRS responds, but a good tax professional will be able to give you a heads up on what the direction is, and then what 'could' take place.

How they came to owe the IRS, how much they expect to owe, and a good tax professional will need to perform a financial analysis (based on current and near future finances) to determine which resolution options you have available to you. So it would be best to have your household income, assets, and expenses handly.
