Tara Perez-Licensed Massage Therapist
About
I work in South Austin, Buda, Kyle, and surrounding areas. I can come to the client or they can visit me at my studio in South Austin.
Before the scheduled session, I send an intake form to the client for them to fill out about their past and current health history and for their likes and dislikes. This helps me understand what type of massage therapy work they are needing
The most important part about massage therapy that I enjoy the most, is helping people. There are a lot of people that come to me that are stressed about their life, job, family, etc.
I feel I offer a service that helps reduce their stress level and creates a feeling of relaxation

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I prefer to send a brief intake form for the client to fill out and return before their first scheduled session. This form goes over their past and current health history and asks what their likes and dislikes are for receiving a mmassage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Lauderstein and Conway School of Massage in April of 2015. I succesfully completed the 400 class hours, hands on included, with 50 hours of internship hours and 16 hours of volunteer work. The work included, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports Massage, Facial and Scalp work.
I am also certified in Thai massage. I received 20 additional hands on training hours at Zenwell Spa and Wellness

How did you get started in this business?
I have always been extremely interested in massage therapy and enjoyed receiving massage on a monthly basis. It was not until I injured my lower back in 2009 and needed back sugery that I discovered how important physical therapy and massage therapy were to the positive healing process of my recovery.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked on a range of different types of clients.
-elderly patients needing more stretching and focus
-breast cancer patient needing more healing massage
-prenatal massage
very deep tissue massage
-chair massage, where the client keeps all of their clothes on
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A current client I am seeing every week for chronic neck and back pain is finally able to sleep through the night without waking up every few hours from pain. It is great to know that my massage therapy sessions with my client are helping to release tension and stress and help the client's overall physical health and wellness.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a company in your area of expertise?
Make sure to be completely honest when filling out the intake form, provided before your massage session. This way, the massage therapist knows exactly what your needs are and what you do and do not like when getting a massage.
What questions should customers think through before talking to companies about their needs?
What type of pressure would you prefer during your massage
are there areas on your body that you would like more or less focus on
do you need to remove all your clothing before receiving a massage
