I had the pleasure of working for Stephen while he was the Senior Graphic Design Manager at Tarkett for nearly four years. During that time, he was not only a manager devoted to seeking the best opportunities for his team but a great friend who enjoyed sharing his personal experiences to help those around him. As my manager, he encouraged me to stay motivated to do my best work, and he was also someone who I could share a laugh with about raising children, pets, family, or just life’s journey in general. It’s rare to find someone who can do that, and manage a team successfully in tandem. In addition, he supported his team through some difficult times of transition, including corporate acquisitions and multiple restructuring and re-branding efforts.
