I have been in the Bookkeeping, Tax Preparation business for 32 years. My Services include any Metro, State and Federal Document Preparation. I also set up new businesses from Sole Propriertorships to Corporations. My fees are very reasonable. I work very hard for my clients. We also offer a pick up and deliver Service for Bookkeeping. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do a personal interview with all new clients. I ask alot of questions regarding their business or if it's a personal tax return, we are sure to cover all areas pretaining to dependents, Itemized deductions, Capital Gains or Losses, Health Insurance, Sale of Assets. Interest Income, Dividend Income, Student Loans, IRA's. SEP Plans, Pensions. We enter this information into our Data Systems and maintain a high Security Level regarding information
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from Branell College in 1992. I attend continuing education through Drake Software Company and CPE.org. I also attend all IRS conferences.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I am one of the most reasonable companies out here. Fees are based on what type of service you are needing. For example monthly Bookkeeping Fees start at 45.00 per month and will vary depending on the amount of work we are given. The average account runs 125.00 per month. Tax Prep Fees range from 35.00 to 100.00 for an average return.
How did you get started in this business?
I joined my Mothers Tax Firm in 1986. She owned A&W Tax & Business Services based out of Old Hickory TN. I branched out on my on in 2004. I also was one of the first to market and participate in the Electronic Tax Filing Program. I opened up over 100 offices in the South East region of the USA and trained all 100 offices to become a drop off site for tax returns. I was able to meet and grow relationships with my peers.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types of companies. Sole Propriertorships, S-Corps, C-Corps, LLC's, Partnerships. I am very diversified in my field. I have worked with Restaurants, Convenience Stores, Tobacco Outlets, Electricians, Plumbers, Roofers, Construction, Painters, Concrete, Long and Short Haul Trucking, Dump Trucking, Landscaping, Bar's and Taverns, Hair Salons and Auto Repair businesses and many more.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a company in your area of expertise?
Interview...... Call and ask for an appointment, go in meet the Owner(s). Ask questions. Get references.
What questions should customers think through before talking to companies about their needs?
Always be informed of what your responsibiles are for maintaining Metro, State and Federal Filing. Example, Sales and Use tax. Business Tax, Priviledge Tax, Tire Tax, Busienss License, Annual Reports, Employee and Employer Taxes, State Unemployment Insurance Premiums, Workmans Compensation. Also be sure your Accountant goes over your financials and what to expect each month from your Accountant.
