I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental health Service Provider in TN with years of experience working with a wide diversity angeof clients ranging in age from infant through geriatric.

My experience includes working with clients dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, life changes, adjustment disorder, anger management, and parenting. Sometimes events like transitions, trauma, loss, and adjustment to divorce or limited social support trigger difficulties. As a result, conflicts, depression, anxiety, emotional outbursts, academic decline, isolation, addiction or other risky behaviors can emerge. I support clients as they overcome these challenges. I believe in the capacity to grow, change, and move towards self-identified goals.

I believe in treating every person with respect and dignity. My approach is honest and open minded, seeing the counseling process as a collaborative process between myself and clients. This collaboration is based on the establishment of a safe and trusting relationship between counselor and client. From this foundation, we are able to explore social, emotional, and behavioral patterns so as to better understand the obstacles that are holding you back from living a full and meaningful life. I see it as my job to provide you with both support and challenge as you engage in the task of facing and addressing those obstacles.

My approach to psychotherapy is integrative and focuses on the therapy relationship, incorporating meditation/mindfulness practices, self-acceptance, development of coping skills, and repairing relationships. I draw from many approaches, including evidence-based practices such as person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Child-parent psychotherapy. Over the years, I have found a therapeutic style that feels genuine and organic for me. Clients typically appreciate my genuine compassion, authenticity, safety, and humor.
