Shansky Works - Graphic Design For Print And The Web
About
My company stands out by providing the creative design for print projects and website design my customers ask for and providing the needed service that my customers want and require. I work within budgets and deliver my work within time constraints. Shansky works actually started in 1979 and then morphed into a partnership to become a 20 employee advertising agency for 11 years. Shansky Works picked up in 1993 to the present doing work for direct clients, as well as clients for other ad agencies and PR firms. My clients' work has won creative and marketing awards in New York, Boston and Rhode Island. Shansky Works does have an account with Linked In and Facebook as well as our own website (www.shankyworks.com) where you can see samples of my advertising, collateral material, packaging, logos and other marketing tools. I am also involved in a publishing company called Curly's Mojo (www.curlysmojo.com) creating my own products for adults and children.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I speak to the client as to their needs and what they would like me to help them with. I provide a timeline for services and a cost estimate for the project(s)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Parsons School of Design and New York University. I have been a graphic designer/art director/creative director for over 30 years. I have also been an instructor at Rhode Island School of Design for over 13 years in their Graphic Design Department as well as an adjunct instructor at Katherin Gibbs School/Visual Comunications Department.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $100/hour, but prefer to give a cost estimate based on estimated time for the project. I believe an hourly rate is too open-ended and may end up too expensive. Since all my work is custom I have no off-the-shelf kind of prices.
