Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We review the project with you and ask a million questions. After we have enough information we'll work on a plan of attack and generate an estimate for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We've been working with computers and technology since 1987. We're your typical nephew or cousin that "has a good job making money in computers" that you ask to fix your home computer for free. We're personal and professional. We don't bullshit you. We get the job done even if we have to figure it out. We can't leave a problem unfixed — so we don't.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every job is unique so we have to review it to determine the cost. We can give you a rough "ballpark" estimate but we've never given a "ballpark" estimate that matched the final price. Technology is difficult, unpredictable, and time-consuming. Expect to pay a fair price for experience and quality work.
How did you get started in this business?
We have been working with computers in some form since 1987. In 2002 we decided to start charging for our services including computer repair and networking. Then we branched out to website hosting, email hosting, website development, and eventually digital marketing like SEO (search engine optimization) and PPC (pay-per-click advertising).
What types of customers have you worked with?
We've worked with individual bloggers, lawn-care services, mom & pop stores, religious websites, doctor offices, brick and mortar stores selling various off-line products, motivational speakers, online training courses...a wide variety of customers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
"You get what you pay for"
Regarding Website Hosting: Cheap website hosting is cheap. Quality website and email hosting makes a measurable difference. Regarding Website Design: Don't "pay" for a website — invest in it. Your website is online 24/7. Make it work for you instead of collecting dust.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Know what you want but don't confuse that with what you need.
