Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process starts with a consultation: what challenges does the client have, where is their business now, and what's their vision for the future. We analyze their current marketing materials, develop a strategy and implementation plan, and then execute - adjusting as needed, and confirming that the client is satisfied with the process and the results along the way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My Dad started the agency in 1969, and I spent many years learning all the aspects of the agency business from copywriting to design to management. I spent six years running corporate communications at Independence Blue Cross, writing and producing promotions at The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, and freelancing in film and tv production both locally and internationally. I finally took over the agency in 2001 and have been running it consistently for almost 20 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our clients have ranged from food to fashion to pharmaceutical businesses. We've worked with small start-ups to large multi-location corporations.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, I was asked to help with an upcoming Gala for a local school. Their mission is near to my heart, and I loved being able to create a logo for the event, posters to be displayed at the Gala, the invitation that was sent to over 500 attendees, and the 100+ page Tribute Guide that was given to everyone at the event. I even got to help with the decor and setup of the event - and the evening raised over $200,000 for the school!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Take your time, and ask lots of questions. Make sure you talk to the person you'll be working with to see if your styles mesh. Look at their prior work, and ask for referrals.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Has the person/company you're hiring been in business for a while? Do they have a grasp of their industry? How have they handled a crisis situation before?
