Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we interview new clients and prospective clients before we formally engage in any services. We make sure that we understand the concerns. Then, we will sumarize what we need to do to assist the clients in meeting their goals or helping resolve their tax concerns. Next, we will give a quote for performing the services and identify what we need from the clients to complete the tasks accurately. Upon verifying that both we and the clients are on the same page, we get to work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In our office, there are two attorneys admitted to the United States Tax Court. Additionally, there are two enrolled agents. We additionally work with several business clients to administer payroll and bookkeeping. Cumulative, the team has over 80 years of tax experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on the type of service rendered.
For income tax preparation, we charge on a per form basis, so complex tax returns that require more forms cost more than easier tax returns that have fewer forms.
Audit Defense and Corporate Tax Structuring is usually charged on an hourly basis.
Bookkeeping fees are eitherly billed hourly or on a per month contract basis.
After an free interview and initial consultation, we will give a firm quote.

We work with many kinds of clients. Most of our clients are individuals many of whom are investors and business owners. We also work with trusts, estates and nonprofits. Many of our clients are small business enterprises, too.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Regularly, we have enjoyable interactions with clients; indeed, many of our clients have become our friends. Just recently, we planned and hosted an open house for our existing clients to see our new office space. Hundreds of people were able to stop in and see our new office and receive special gifts that we made for the event.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Regardless of whether you decide to hire our firm or another, be sure that you are confident that the professional you choose understands your needs and concerns. Often times, tax issues cause anxiety; working with someone you trust helps alleviate the anxiety.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Specific questions are hard to identify; business owners in their thirties have very different needs than retirees in their seventies. Generally, though, all people should take the time to make a list of any specific questions and concerns that they want ask the professional. That is the best way to make sure that all your concerns will be addressed.
