About
"Change your thoughts and you'll change your world." - Norman Vincent Peale - Too often we get lost in our own negative self talk and beliefs about ourselves and the world around us, and we find ourselves stressed, anxious, scared and depressed. You may stop believing in yourself and lose faith in others. I offer a safe and supportive environment where adolescents and adults feel comfortable exploring those thoughts and beliefs, and work towards a happier life. Using techniques from both Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapies, together we can work towards a more fulfilling, peaceful and contented way of life for you.
Special areas of focus include; adolescent-specific issues, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship/peer issues, school/anxiety, OCD, Asperger's Syndrome, coping skills, stress management, career stressors, parenting difficulties, and behavioral issues.
I have an MSW from Monmouth University, and an LCSW. I have worked as a School Social Worker on a Child Study Team, a Psychotherapist in a private special education school, a Needs Assessor and Clinician for PerformCare, and as a Psychotherapist in a private group practice.
