What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been developing websites and doing search engine optimization since 1996. ConstantContact.com Partner Program member since 2008.
How did you get started in this business?
My background is in travel, tourism and hospitality. As a certified professional chef, I worked in fine dining restaurants and hotels. I have been involved with event planning, execution and marketing of special events as well.
It all started when I told a friend of mine who had a catering business, "You need a website!" His reply, "Ok, so build me one!"
The second website was for a local hotel. Who is a client still today.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most often my customers already have an existing business. They have noticed that their web presence is not what it used to be. They are looking for assistance in redesigning their website so that it loads fast, looks great on a mobile phone and does well in the search engines.
Some business owners opt to have a redesign or build a new website only.
Also, some of my clients understand the benefits of email marketing and just do not have the time to manage that aspect of their business. So, we put a plan together based upon their needs and I manage the email marketing campaigns for them with content that they have provided.
Here is a sample of the business types I’ve helped with their marketing: Colleges, Schools, Parent Groups; Entertainment; Events / Event Planning; Health & Fitness; Holistic Medicine; Massage / Therapy; Industrial / Light Industrial; Law Firms; Manufacturing; Professional Speakers; Real Estate; Retail, Shops and Storefronts; Restaurants, Caterers, Cafés and Coffee Shops; Service Businesses; Sales Teams; Salon & Spa; Trade Associations; Travel, Tourism & Hospitality; Wedding; Yoga and more!
