About

In 1991, my mogul skiing career took an unexpected turn for the worst when an accident left me paralyzed from the waist down. At that time so much of my identity was wrapped up in skiing that to loose that outlet was so devistating. After a lengthy and painful rehabilitation I was able to walk and compete again. The experience left me with a profound respect for the doctors and healers that were able to perform this miracle! It also left me with a passion for helping other athletes recover from their injuries and get back to doing what they love as quickly as possible, because I knew of the mental and emotional cost of losing one's sport.

I began a career in Massage Therapy in 1996 to serve that purpose. After graduating from East-West College of the Healing Arts, I was able to fulfull a lifelong dream. I moved to Breckenridge Colorado and began my career. I worked on Snow riders of all abiliites, including some of the bigger names in skiing and snowboarding in the winter and golfers, mountain bikers and NFL players in the summer months.

In 2011 I finished my Masters Degree in Acupuncture with honors at The Natural University of Natural Medicine. It was a tough program! ...But it gave me so many more tools to help people who have challenges with their sleep, digestion or weight. And it made me a lot more effective at treating headaches and musculo-skeletal pain.

I find a lot of satisfaction in playing guitar. After a number of false starts, I'm a now part of a great band that performs locally. In 2004-2007 I was actively doing "green room" work for national traveling acts. I have also worked on members of the Oregon Symphony and the Oregon Ballet Company. In the process, I got to meet some amazing artists. Working with musicians is another passion of mine, because musicians, like athletes need to be at their best, which they can't be if they are in pain. Playing a musical insturment, by nature, is awkward from a biomechanical standpoint and many musicians develop repetitive strain injuries as a result. As a performing musician, I understand the importance of being at my peak.

I specialize in Deep tissue and Trigger Point massage techniques and Manual Therapy. I also am a specialist in Japanese Acupuncture and "Dry Needling." I find that the ability to treat the body from both Chinese Medicine and many modalites of bodywork, makes my work both unique and effective. And my 2 decades of experience allows me to be as efficient as possible in getting you back to optimal health and peak performance weather you're a weekend warrior or a warrior all week.
