Tax interview. Find out about their circumstances. Get all the current tax documents. But for me customer service is the most important. I will reach out with any questions I have.

Accounting Degree from Portland State University, Oregon Tax Consultant 35184-C. Worked as flooring Contractor for 30 years. I know business and prepare many business returns

How did you get started in this business?
My story I attended college and got my degree when I got out of college my father in law needed help with his business. It was in floor covering and we had contractors working for us. Well I learned hardwood and did as a career. Attended a tax school and passed Oregon preparer test in 1983 files taxes for my own business. Economy git bad in 2011 and got my preparer license again and went to work for liberty tax. I presently run one of their offices. I also have my own business located in McMinnville. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The main thing as you speak/communicate with a pro..make sure you feel comfortable.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Can I handle these issues myself if you can do it yourself. If you feel uncomfortable or unsure of yourself hire a pro.
