How did you get started in this business?
I had been working with seniors and people with disabilities for 18 years. Then I was trained to recognize how emotions affect the body and produced debilitating changes in aging if they are not addressed.
After I received my LMT license, I recognized that I could put my hands to work to be of service, to relieve suffering, and to empower people to heal.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Athletes, parents, people who are stressed from work or relationship issues, who have had or are anticipating surgery or are in pain. People with chronic headaches, old sprained ankles, or unresolved emotional issues who want to heal. People with Parkinson’s, MS, sprains or acute injuries. Children, adults, and seniors.
Veterans with PTSD and trauma. People who are recovering from motor vehicle accidents and head injuries.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A new client came to me with an eight year history of brain injury. In my assessment, I realized that her needs were outside my scope of practice and training. I tried to tell her that and refer her out, but she said: “I have been treated by multiple practitioners in the last eight years and you were the first one who recognized when I was at threshold. I feel safe here. I don’t want to see anyone else.”
She made tremendous progress. It blew my mind. And gave me a lot of joy.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Your healing comes from your focused intention, your mind and heart, the intelligence of your body, and my hands will support and complement what you bring to the table.
