Frequently asked questions

Once you are booked online or through calling you will receive an email with an intake form, confirmation email, and direction to my studio. The first session we will chat about what you filled out in the intake to determine what the best approach would be for you. During the massage it will be quiet although I will have questions regarding pressure and have you actively move at times during the session which clears up congested areas a bit faster.

I trained at University of Western States in their medical massage program. It was a 768 hour program that took a year to complete. I have additional training in Active Release Technique, Positional Release Techniques, Sports Massage, and Thai Massage.

All my prices are listed on my website but are based on 30, 60, and 90 min sessions. For every fourth massage you get within six months I deduct 20 percent.

In 2003 I had a motor vehicle accident that left me in pain and my athletic pursuits out of reach. Or so I thought. I got regular massage and before I knew it was feeling better and my athletic pursuits were much easier. I was faster and I would recover from races so much quicker. Every time I got treatment I knew this is something I had to do. When the economy tanked I decided to leave my technical writing career and pursue massage therapy. Since 2013 after graduating from University of Western States I've worked for chiropractic clinics and have gained extensive knowledge through the continuing education classes I've taken. My niche is simple; pain relief. Everyone suffers from it in one form or the other and I have the tools to eliminate your pain. Book a session and find out for yourself.

A full range of clients have benefited from my work including ages from 12 to 78, those with desk jobs, those with repititive strain injuries, motor vehicle accidents, sciatica, upper crossed syndrome. I educate clients on the important of regular massage and what it can do for them.

A client came in with severe back pain. After talking with him I recommended IASTM or Gua Sha to break up the scar tissue. Within one session he noticed remarked improvement after three sessions he was at a point where he could live his life without being in pain. I still see him to this day.

Look at their training and what their goals are for YOU. It doesn't matter all the stuff they have done but when the focus is more on you then them, so long they have the experience, your much more likely to have a better experience.

What do you want from a massage session? If you are not getting regular massage, why do you want a massage now? Massage is not a one time thing are you ready to commit to a regular massage routine?
