Karen Hunt, who is an Independent Contractor, who works part time. Karen specializes in Pain Relief, Sports Massage, Post Surgical Treatment, and Relaxation.
I appreciate offering an environment which invites a person to fully relax and let go of physical/mental effort. My goal is to create a nurturing place which supports relaxation and tension relief. As well, the techniques that I use are like a dance on the body, and that feels great for me as a therapist.
I've been a LMT since 2002, and I still love the work I provide for others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new client?
When meeting a client for the first time, I have them fill out a medical intake form, and talk to them directly about what they are looking for. I ask what pressure they prefer, and if there are any addition details they would like me know. I inform them that I work intuitively, and quietly, allowing space for relaxation. If they desire me to modify pressure, I encourage them to offer feedback, so I can help them feel better.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002, and a Registered Yoga Teacher since 2016. I have continued education in Thai massage, Ashiatsu, Pregnancy massage, Gua Sha, La Stone Therapy, Facilitated Stretching, and Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga
Do you have a standard pricing system? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started?
I was fortunate to work in a Spa/Wellness environment for over 8 years, before starting my Personal Practice. I gained a wealth of experience working with many different people, needs, body types, etc.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a professional in your area of expertise?
I encourage clients to recieve bodywork from many therapists, so they can find their perfect match. I believe there is a therapist for each person. If there is a specific goal in mind, I suggest reaching out and asking the therapist directly.
