I have been actively practicing law for over 50 years which has given me not only much legal experience in northeastern Ohio, but also practical knowledge that I use to benefit my clients.
I am an honors graduate of Cleveland State University Cleveland Marshall College of Law. I am also a graduate of the University of Michigan.
I am admitted to practice law before all the courts of Ohio, the federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, and other federal courts.
My practice is now centered around employment law (wrongul discharge, wage and hour cases - nonpayment of overtime pay and abuse of salary exemptions, discrimination), along with residential real estate matters, including failures of condominium or home owners associations to follow the requirements of their Declarations, wills and estates. I am a former employee of the Probate Court of Cuyahoga County.
I am one of the founders of the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association and participate in the list serve maintained by the Ohio Employment Lawyers Assocation.
I really get satisfaction from being able to help persons who have really been hurt as a result of serious wrongdoing of another person or persons.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually meet in person, whether immediately or soon after obtaining a brief history of my clients' legal problems and assessing the extent of their need for a lawyer to represent them, and, after discussing the estimated cost of the services I am likely to perform, reduce the costs to a written fee agreement for my clients and me to sign.
Soon after signing the written fee agreement I arrange to meet a client in person to obtain a complete history of the client and the legal problem needing a solution. If a lawsuit is involved, I explain to my client the need for written statements if at all possible from witnesses. This may involve telephone and personal interviews by myself with potential witnesses to obtain evidence to prove my client's legal claims. After I have completed a preliminary investigation of the facts surrounding one or more legal claims of wrongdoing that has damaged my client, I then begin drafting a Complaint against each of the wrongdoers and decide upon the most appropriate court in which to file the case.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been handling employment law matters for clients ever since passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as various federal labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, which is still in effect and vitaly important in protecting employee rights -- both in the federal and Ohio courts.
I also have experience in suing condomium or Home Owners Associations for violating Ohio and private Declarations or other contracts containing duties designed to protect unit owners.
