Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before any official work begins, 50 Marketing will set expectations with the new client and discuss what we both require in terms of deadlines, processes, and communications. Next, we will gather all the necessary information to fully assess what the client needs. Once we have all the information needed, we will assign the project(s) to the appropriate member(s) of the team. Then we'll do research to develop a strategy for the project. Once the research is complete and we have added specific details to the plan, we will schedule a call with the assigned point person of the team who will present the research to get feedback on the updated plan and discuss the next steps. From there, we'll schedule regular check-in meetings going forward depending on need and budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our firm is 18+ years old. We have a team of marketing professionals that fulfill continuing education requirements in the following areas: Website Design, SEO, SEM, Social Media, Graphics Design standards, Video Marketing Copywriting, Digital Advertising, ADA Compliance (Website and Digital).
To keep up to date with digital marketing trends, 50 Marketing continuously trains and has multiple certifications which include SharpSpring, HubSpot, Google Ads, Wordstream, Facebook, Moz, Yoast, and more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing will not be the cheapest — our pricing will not be the highest.
About 50% of our business comes from clients who hired the cheapest and the project didn’t work out. When you look at our experience with many clients over the past 15+ years, you will find that we provide exceptional value. Our pricing will be in the middle of the most competitive situations. We will be priced higher than the individual but less than larger agencies. However, our product quality will match or exceed that of the larger agencies. The best thing you can do is provide us with as much information as possible so we can provide you an accurate quote for your project.
How did you get started in this business?
We started as an in-house agency for a $100 million a year in revenue business in the 1990s. With their blessing, we continued to handle their business and also started taking on outside clients 15+ years ago.
We have experience in traditional media. We have also developed a full complement of digital services over the past 10 years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
B2B - We specialize in manufacturing marketing and website design, industrial services marketing, and business to business marketing and website design.
Healthcare, non-profits, attorneys, medical doctors, home improvement, agricultural, power equipment, e-commerce, retail, real estate, home builders, material handling… too many to list.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Industrial Company asked us to redesign their website. We provided a full marketing consultation and website redesign in 3.5 weeks. We also started performing SEO for the company and saw a 46% increase in organic traffic in the first month of the new site going live.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Hire a company, not an individual. About 30% of our work comes from clients who are disappointed by working with individuals who have no backup plan and who are not timely in their responses. Many do not provide after-sale support. Also, if a company guarantees you that they will make you #1 in the Search category, buyer beware.
