Hallock Legal & Compliance Consulting
About
I am a dedicated and highly experienced attorney deploying unparalleled energy, passion, and concern while strategically guiding clients through the intricacies of litigation, complex commercial disputes, complex contract negotiation, regulatory compliance issues, real estate matters, development issues, criminal matters, family law disputes, and all varieties of construction disputes. While I strive to achieve the most effective, efficient, and expedient results prior to formal court action, in matters that become unavoidably entangled by judicial or administrative involvement, I employ over two decades of direct litigation experience to secure favorable outcomes and to mitigate risks.
I am humbled to have received the following recognitions from other Judges, attorneys, and past clients:
** Lawyers.com® - Highest possible rating of "AV Preeminent" Peer Review” concerning legal skill, knowledge, and ethical standards (received by only 10% of the more than 900,000 attorneys nationwide).
** Louisville Magazine® - "Top Louisville Lawyers"
** Martindale-Hubbell® "AV Preeminent" Peer Review Rating® concerning legal skill, knowledge, and ethical standards (received by only 10% of the more than 900,000 attorneys nationwide).
** Martindale-Hubbell® "Client Distinction Award"® given only to lawyers whose clients give the lawyer at least a 4.5 average rating (out of 5.0) in the following areas: (1) Communication Ability; (2) Responsiveness; (3) Quality of Service; and (4) Value for Money. Less than one percent (1%) of the more than 900,000 attorneys nationwide receive the Martindale-Hubbell Client Distinction Award.
** Martindale-Hubbell® "Top Rated Lawyer in Construction Law"®
I enjoy helping others and collaborating with them toward a common goal. Through this work, I have had the privilege of meeting hundreds of fine, caring people over the last 25 years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step toward establishing an attorney-client engagement is to conduct an initial consultation in person or by electronic means such as telephone, email exchanges, skype, or sometimes even texts. This allows the prospectice client to get a better sense of the attorney's qualifications, experience, procedures, and rates. This also allows the attorney to determine whether the firm possesses the requisite skill and experience to effectively and competently provide the services needed.
If/when the prospective client decides to hire the attorney, and the attorney agrees to represent the client, they will sign a written Attorney-Client Agreement which sets forth the terms and "rules" that govern the relationship. The Agreement may also contain a provision which requires an advance up-front payment, called a retainer, that is essentially a "down payment" toward future legal services.
Once the Agreement is signed and the retainer has been paid, the client and attorney will begin to collaboratively work toward a desired resoltion of the case or dispute.
