About this pro

I offer virtual (online web therapy), telemedecine and in-person therapy sessions to adults and adolescents interested in embarking on a journey of emotional healing. Negative thought and behavior patterns build up over time, and it takes time to retrain your brain and body to engage differently with the world around you. A holistic approach focusing on the mind, body and spirit is essential to recovery, and I try to teach my clients and their chosen families how to empower themselves to improve overall wellness. Everyone’s journey is unique, so I provide a trauma-informed, eclectic and individualized approach to healing.
I specialize in treating individuals, couples and families with mood and personality disorders. I also specialize in treating individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community with specific issues relating to that population, providing a safe space for members of this community to process their experiences and identify and work on their goals for the future.
Virtual psychotherapy may seem unconventional, but the convenience helps to eliminate many of the barriers clients face in accessing care. I offer virtual psychotherapy for clients all over Texas and Ohio, and in-person psychotherapy for clients in the Houston, Texas area. I offer flexible appointments during the daytime, evenings and on weekends.

I enjoy the opportunity to connect with people and help them on their journey. I think people are fascinating and I admire their resilience and ability to heal and recover from adversity.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When starting a new relationship with a client, I like to give them an opportunity to share their story. I have an open, laid-back approach to my sessions that a lot of clients find warm, comforting and engaging. I like to gather historical information in the first session, but if there are more pressing matters that need to be addressed, a solution-focused approach could work for that session as well.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work with an independent, clinical social work license in Ohio and Texas. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups in a variety of settings, including private practice, community mental health and behavioral health hospitals. I have experience with the LGBTQ+ community, and specialize in mood disorders, substance use and trauma.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I'm not on any insurance panels, but can provide a receipt for services rendered that includes all the necessary codes for reimbursement from your insurance company. My current pricing schedule can be found on my website, www.soperfecttherapy.com. Initial sessions for individual counseling are $160, follow-ups are $130. Couples sessions are $150, and all sessions last 50-60 minutes.
