Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to have a conversation with all new customers to discuss their needs and challenges. From that call, we take a few days to research their company and make our recommendations. Once a gameplan is designed and the project begins, we schedule milestone meetings to keep everyone on the same page and the objective on target.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a BA in Digital Media from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY in addition to my years of work-experience in the fields of Marketing and Graphic Design.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each project is priced fairly. Since each project is different, we believe a blanket price for a service called "website design" is inaccurate and deceitful to the client. A design project can be as complex or simple as your need it to be. We will talk you through the entire process so that the invoice is never a suprise and always a happy resolution for a job well done.
How did you get started in this business?
Art and communication have always been passions of mine. When I was 5 years old, my grandmother asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. Although I lived in a world with rudimentary computer operating systems and large flat black floppy disks, I told her, "I want to draw things on the computer." I have been guided by that drive ever since. My mission is to release into the world creations that are both beautiful and meaningful to the recipient.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many kinds of clients, ranging from the modest start-up to the large Connecticut corporations. I most enjoy helping small- and medium-sized local businesses. They are so important to our community and their voices should be heard. I enjoy facilitating their growth and promoting their presence in their communities.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice for someone looking to hire a pro is look for someone who will listen to your concerns. If all they say to you is, "yes", then most likely they weren't really listening to what you came to the table with. There have been times when a client came to me because they wanted a website. My reply to them was, yes you do need a website, but there are a few smaller things that you need more than you need a website, and this is what they are. Horizontal thinkers will help you see new ways to get where you want to go. Vertical thinkers will merely nod their heads and follow you wherever you lead. In that case, who reallys is the expert? If you hire an expert to help you, and it seems like they have no new ideas to being to the table, it's probably because they're not the professional you need. Do not settle for medocrity.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Questions to think about before coming to a pro:
1) What are my biggest challenges?
2) Are there things I have done in the past to prevent progress from taking place?
3) Where are my strengths and where are my weaknesses?
4) Am I looking for a production support person or a ideas partner?
