    John is the managing member of Sacco CPA PLLC with more than 30 years of experience in public accounting. He began his career at PricewatherhouseCoopers and BDO Seidman, New York, where he receive his initial public accounting experience. He also held management positions in private industry.
    John has worked with a variety of industries in the accounting and tax area, specialzing in the unique needs of small to medium size organizations. His industry experience includes organizations in the manufacturing, distribution,  real estate, homeowners and condo associations, cooperative housing corporations, multi-employer and single employer defined benefit  and defined contribution pension plans, professional practices both medical and legal, nonprofits entities and litigation support services.
    John is an active AICPA Peer Reviewer for the past 25 years and consults with local CPA firms on Peer Review and Quality Control issues.

    EDUCATION AND LICENSES

    John received his Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Accounting from St. John‘s University, New York. He received his license as Certified Public Accountant in New York and later in the State of Florida. In 2012 he obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation from the AICPA.

    HISTORY OF FIRM
    1983

    After beginning his career in Public accounting in New York City with PricewaterhouseCoopers. John M. Sacco started John M. Sacco CPA in White Plains New York.

    1983-2012

    Between 1983 and 2012 John acquired a number of small retiring CPAs and expanding the firm and relocated to offices in Armonk New York in 2011.

    2013

    In July of 2013 John expanded the firm to South West Florida by acquired the firm of Smith and Company, with offices in Bonita Springs Florida. The acquisition of the firm brought presents to South West Florida.

    2014

    On October 1, 2014 J. Douglas Mitchel CPA, Ft. Myers Florida, was named partner of the Firm and merged his accounting and audit practice into the Firm. Mitchell oversees accounting, and tax work  for the firm.

    2015

    On January 1, 2015 the firm relocated its New York Office to its present office  in Armonk New York located at 200 Business Park Drive
    On January 1, 2015 the firm relocated its South West Florida Office to its present office in Bonita Springs Florida located at 27399 Riverview Center Boulevard.

    2016

    January 1, 2016 the name the firm was changed to Sacco CPA LLP

    Today

    Sacco CPA staff has increased to 6 professionals and an administrative staff between our New York and Bonita Springs offices.
