About this pro

I am a bilingual Russian/English therapist. I earned a double Masters Degree in Linguistics and Clinical Psychology. More recently I earned an MS in Mental Health Counselling and gained a license to practise in New York State. Since 2014 I work full time as a therapist seeing adult individuals and giving clinical supervision to the colleagues who are in the beginning of their profession. I am a certified trainer in Psychosynthesis psychotherapy, familiar with psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and existential approaches. To enhance my practice and comply with the requirements of New York State I currently study Psychodrama at New York Psychodrama Institute.

I believe psychotherapy is a deep healing relationship between the professional and the client. I join my client's process and together we explore in-depth their psyche in search of the unknown treasures - their gifts and qualities that are their strengths.

The most rewarding for me is to hear from the client that our mutual work was beneficial to them and facilitated the desired change for a better life experience.

Olga is very knowledgeable and intuitive, I'd say she knows your problem after couple minutes of conversation. She reads you. Like a profiler. Sessions with her always brought huge release in my situation, she was working over sensitive moments, bringing them up, sorting off the way I had the clear picture of what happened indeed and what I burden myself so since then I can differ to a point where the real issue is and the way I'm making it heavier to myself with emotions and actions. Thanks a lot, Olga, your sessions didn't just help me temporarily but educated me!

I didn't believe in therapy before I met Olga. She is an amazing therapist, she helped me to go through hard times in my life and I was able to get back to myself as a result. Olga is very relatable, caring and super professional. I would highly recommend her

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I both see clients in person and online. For those clients, who seek online sessions, I will offer a free 10-15 minutes scheduled phone conversation. First, we will agree about the time, place and fee/coverage for therapy. In the first session, we will meet, clarify the client's reason for requesting the service, whether I am a good match for the client and if my expertise is enough to benefit the client, we will agree on the number of sessions. The number of sessions will vary from 8 sessions to 6 months. I will be also open to continuing with the clients upon their request.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Sliding scale for online sessions $80-$125.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with adult (21-70 y.o) clients dealing with various complications and concerns, including but not limited to anxieties, depressions, phobias, grief, relationship problems and difficult life situations.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Look for comfort and a good match with a therapist. Be ready to make a commitment and invest your time into your self-care. Prepare to talk about yourself and your life. Therapy works! Please have in mind that there is no magic behind but a lot of compassion and mutual work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Ask yourself': what are your concerns? what do you really want from therapy? what do you expect?
