We offer Individual, Couple, and Family therapy using a Marriage and Family Therapy orientation incorporating aspects of the Internal Family Systems approach. This means we look at each client from the perspective of his family of origin and how that influences his problems of today, as well as, how to solve/resolve those situations and traumas. Our approach is one of compassion, caring, and comfort with those life struggles, acknowledging each person's needs, and wants.
Ruth has been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1985 working in Connecticut until relocating to New Mexico in 2011. She was licensed in Connecticut and is now licensed in New Mexico. Bart has been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2002 also licensed previously in Connecticut and now in New Mexico. He founded Rio Rancho Family Counseling Center in 2011 in an effort to provide quality and compassionate psychotherapy to our clients and their family and friends.

We are a group of clinicians who have found for ourselves that therapy and self examination have helped us to sort out our own struggles. Now we are paying that forward by helping others to sort out their situations by exploring options and beliefs to restructure their own life direction. Our belief is that we are here to support and show each other compassion and caring in this life which we model in the therapy process as we all grow together. Our wbsite says some of this - RioRanchoFamilyCounseling.com.
