Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new clients, I like to have an informal conversation regarding their needs, what their goals are, and any concerns they may have. We have found that just having a conversation will tell us if the client even needs what they initially came to us for or another service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've had extensive IRS tax law training, Quickbooks training, and an MBA in Business Management. I'm also an ENROLLED AGENT and TAX Nerd.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There is no standard since every client has a different needs. Generally, the baseline price is as follows:
Personal Federal Taxes- $200
Business Taxes - $350
Forming an LLC - $250
Payroll - $100 Bi-Weekly
Monthly Sales Tax - $60
Bookkeeping- Quarterly $1200
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with individuals, corporations, partnerships and not-for-profit entities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A client, she is a nurse and real estate investor, needed an amendment because she received a 1099Misc. This document showed the income that she made from her real estate investing. She thought she would owe even more than she was already paying. She supplied me with the requested information, and she will receive a refund of several thousand dollars. I also amended the prior year, and she received a $10,000 refund and the money back she had been paying the IRS.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Work with a knowledgeable person you genuinely like and trust. Relationships and experience are very important. This is not a "pop-up" tax office or an old boring CPA firm. We interact with our community, take at least one tax class a week, and love "virtually" seeing our clients.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
We know the questions to ask... don't worry.
