By being patient and validating my clients it makes them feel that what they say and feel matters. I am very compationate and never judge. Never minimize my clients issues because to them they are serious and important. I always listen which is the most important part of my job and always repeat back to make sure what they said helping them hear themselves. I help become aware and recognize their ssues.

I encourage my clients to answer their own questions which in turn helps them figure out what is right or wrong for them.

I also encourage writing their issues down, possible solutions and the possible effects from their solutions. At my first session I give them a journal to write in and it becomes part of the session.

I teach them how to reflect on what they say and mean for better self-awareness.

My passion and commitment is very apparent with me which makes them feel very much at ease.

I enjoy aliviating my clients worries and sometimes the despair they feel at first when they walk into my office. Sometimes they feel counseling is not going to work but with just the first visit with me they always feel better and their situation becomes more manageable...they feel hope! They leave with a big smile and hug looking forward to the next visit.

Helping them reach their goals is the most rewarding!
