I work with individuals, couples and in groups to enable them to have a better understanding of themselves and to manage the challenges in their lives, in themselves, and in their personal and professional relationships. It has been called like "taking a course in themselves.
I have had extensive experience in working with those who have had significant traumas whether in the present or the past to help them put the past to rest and to overcome the pain of those events.
Listening to people and getting to know them and to know that their getting to know themselves through the work we do is very satisfying. The growth people experience through our work is a true pleasure.

In meeting a new patient my first concern is to create a welcoming environment in which you can feel safe enough to share your concerns and trust you will be heard and understood. My typical practice is to spend an hour in which to get to know you and for you to get to know me. We will discuss what brings you to seek a therapist and what you've done in the past to address the concerns you have. I'll ask you about your history but most of all expect you to have a lot of questions that you may want answered about me. Some of those questions will be answered by meeting and seeing how I respond to you and some will remain unanswered until we work together.
