About
Was a Case Manager on Child Study Teams for 20 years. Now retired. I have loved working with teens all my life. I believe it is the toughest time of life.... full of challenging transitions, cruelties, and new realities, with no one expaining any more and no one helping teens to learn coping skills, new social skills, or communication skills. Listening is critical. I work very well with parents, so understanding grows on all sides. I use their own humor with kids, so they can get perspective. Their dignity is always the most important thing. Masters in Communication Disorders and Learning Disabilities; Ph.D. in Human and Organization Development.
Helping people grow and find their way, see their own courage and strengths... is the best work in the world. Helping people clear their own paths and moving forward with joy and appreciation for life gives me joy.
I am not a therapist; I am a coach for your life's decisions and skills. I will check and recommend a psychiatrist or other specialist if it appears you need medication or other attention.
We can work remotely if needed, and my fees are based on each individual situation.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we would start with a 20 - 30-minute call on FaceTime or WhatsApp, or just the phone, to get to know each other. There is no charge for this introductory call. If we both feel that we are a good match, and we could do good work together, we will plan a schedule. I charge $75. per session, and sessions last about 45 - 50 minutes. You pay by Venmo. I can discount that if we set up pre-payment of 5 or 10 sessions. I will be very honest with you about the best positive outcomes.
