About this pro

If you're affected by daily stresses of life, significant issues related to depression, anxiety or interpersonal relationships, I am a New York licensed psychologist and certified psychoanalyst that will help you resolve these problems. Clients gain insight into what's troubling them so that they can manage their issues more effectively. I work in an intimate setting, situated in a comfortable environment overlooking a private garden. It is a safe and confidential space. I work with people who are having difficulty developing and or maintaining significant relationships, experiencing depression, anxiety, low self esteem, feelings of being unlovable, or "just getting by" rather than thriving.

I receive a great deal of gratification knowing that I am making a significant impact on my patient's lives.  I look forward to developing a relationship with my pstyients in which we are aligned to work together to improve the quality of theirt lives as well as adressing any of the specific need they present at the onset of treatment.

  • Steven S.

He was easy to talk to and I felt safe speaking about difficult subjects. He was smart and had insights to add to my understanding of my situation. He was also very friendly and likable.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our earliest attachments form the templates for our subsequent relationships.  As a result, we repeat patterns in our relationships throughout our lives.  Because they are present from the beginning, our patterns may be as invisible to us as water to a fish.  Yet they shape our destinies.

Therapy entails a relationship between a therapist and patient.  Patients bring their templates and patterns into this relationship.  It is my goal to enter the gravitational field of patients’ problematic relationship patterns, experiencing and participating in them.  Through participation in these patterns, I can help my patients understand and rework them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and have worked in a variety of differnet setting in addition to private pracatice. I have two post-doctoral fllowships in Psychoanalystic Psychotherapy.  I have had practices in three major cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City.
