Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first contact I have is when the customer calls me via telephone or sends me an email. This initial contact is a free consultation where I listen to what you have to say and I answer any questions you may have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Doctoral degree and became licensed to practice psychology in the State of New Jersey. I also became a certified telehealth professional beause of the pandemic and I wanted to provide services completently. I also continue to complete training which is required to maintain my license and certifications.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The customers that I work with pay me directly. I can provide a billing statement if the customer prefers one, usually to obtain benefits due for services provided and the insurance company pays the customer directly.
How did you get started in this business?
I was interested in helping people, I was told that I was a good listener and helped people focus on what they wanted to do. My supervisors encouraged me to continue this line of work and so as with anyone who likes to be praised, I became a licensed psychologist. I enjoy my work, I am flexible and make myself available for my customers.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I am licensed to provide psychological services for anyone residing in the state of New Jersey. I work with individuals with many different concerns and issues. Some customers need to learn how to cope with stress or relationship issues. Some customers just want to learn more about themselves where we can explore how they react to things and if they want, change the way they behave, for the better.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One customer had difficulty coping with a loved one who was reportedly demanding and triggered an aggressive response (not good). I listened and asked questions with gentle probing and direction, and at the moment he/she came to the realization that he/she could react assertively, not aggressively, that this simple change was so much better, I knew we were making progress. These therapeutic moments are why I like to work with people.
