Most of my clients have a substance use disorder that is co-occurring with other conditions. These disorders manifest as severe behavioral issues that lead to biopsychosocial impairments. Some clients had problems with the criminal justice system, state and local agencies, schools, employers, family, and the community due to undesirable behavior. They need help turning their lives around. As Person-centered, solution-focused Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor, I establish therapeutic relationships anchored in cultural diversity to provide individualized treatment to help my clients make the change they desire.

I enjoy speaking with clients who believe they need to change but don't know where and how to begin. I help individuals believe in the power and strength they have within themselves to do the work necessary to change undesirable behavior. I encourage my clients to be mindful of their emotions, own all their decisions, and learn lessons from failures.

I listened actively with empathy and genuineness to all my clients as they share experiences and feelings of life events and situations that stifled growth and personal development. I enjoy asking open-ended questions so clients can explore their feelings about the past and the opportunities they have ahead for making their best life-changing decisions.
