Dr. Leibovitz and his staff of psychologists and licensed counseling professionals treats individuals as well as couples. Specifically, we specializes in the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD. panic attacks, grief, relationship problems, marriage issues, personality disorders, chronic pain, ADD, anger, and more. Our team also has considerable testing experience including bariatric surgery evaluations, ordered mental health evaluations for jobs, school, courts, immigration, full diagnostic testing, bariatric surgery clearance, and others.
Dr. David Leibovitz founded the Hopewell Springs Counseling Center in 2009. Dr. Leibovitz is a Licensed Psychologist in New Jersey. He is an active member of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the New Jersey Psychological Association (NJPA). Dr. Leibovitz has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Rowan University (formerly known as the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (2005 - 2014).
Dr. Leibovitz has also been prominent in his sharing of his psychological expertise in various news outlets including on the radio on 94.1 WIP sports radio, 97.9 PRAISE Radio, on TV including NBC 10 5:00 evening news, in print media including the Burlington County Times, Courier Post, and in South Jersey Magazine. Most prominently, Dr, Leibovitz appeared as a weekly feature on Philadelphia's 94WIP sports radio. The featured 30 minute segment, called "Therapy Thursdays" had been part of the "Anthony Gargano & Rob Ellis show".
Dr. Leibovitz's broad background in the behavioral sciences includes having earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Leibovitz's formal education, post-doctoral training, well-rounded professional experience, and demonstrated commitment to continued education give him the competence and clinical repertoire to employ an integrative approach to assessing and effectively treating a multitude of psychological issues and disorders.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Director Dr. Leibovitz and our staff of highly-trained clinicians approach treatment utilizing the latest in evidence-based approaches including integration of Cognitive Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). We also conduct formal psychological evaluations for: court ordered/probation, immigration waivers, fitness for work/duty, parenting capacity, corrections officers, gun license/purchasing, emotional support animal qualification, bariatric surgery clearance, return to work or school evaluations, anger management, & much more).

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We do accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flex Spending (FSA) insurance cards. While we do not directly bill insurance, we will prepare a receipt for you to submit to your health insurance company for possible out of network reimbursement. Although we are an out of network practice, insurance providers often do reimburse a significant portion of the appointment fees directly to our clients. This model allows our psychologists to focus primarily on your individualized clinical treatment including planning for sessions, being more available by cell-phone, and much more. Additionally, clients may value therapy more in such a model, and will potentially put forth maximum effort in treatment leading to potentially more desirable outcomes. It is recommended that you check with your own insurance company to determine their reimbursement policies and procedures.
How did you get started in this business?
Hopewell Springs was founded in 2009 by Dr. David Leibovitz, the center's Clinical Director. Our commitment is to provide high quality psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological evaluation services right here in South Jersey. Our staff is comprised of highly trained and experienced professionals including 3 licensed doctoral psychologists and a child specialist. Our team works closely with children and adults to eliminate the suffering and struggling they live with on a daily basis. Furthermore, we help our clients return to living fulfilling and meaningful lives with peace and dignity.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Even in today's progressive culture and society, a stigma remains about mental illness. Most people recognize the symptoms of anxiety within themselves, yet suffer for many years before they get help (if indeed they ever seek professional help).
Rather than suffer the potential shame, embarrassment, or other negative emotion that some may feel in seeking professional assistance, many turn to home remedies, old wives tales, and such to cope with potentially debilitating symptoms.
