US AmeriTax was founded with the idea that most people would benefit from the services of a trained professional tax preparer, and would achieve their lowest tax liability and the largest refund possible. And that they would choose to use a professional preparer if they could find that service affordable. We are that affordable service!
Statistics state the average refund increases by over $400 for those who use a professional, and over $700 for those filing at or near the deadline!
Our founders also wanted to be able to provide sound financial counseling based on well-grounded and accepted principles. We have achieved this goal through affiliations with licensed and certified professionals in the related areas of Financial Advisors, Accounting, Law, and Insurance.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
One of the first steps is getting to know my customer. I follow an approved Interview format. As it pertains to tax filing, I ask questions about their family status, previous filing status and experiences, and try to answer any tax related questions they may have.
Customers are required to present identification, to prevent identify theft and fraud. They may also be requested to provide documentation for certain tax benefits or credits which are being applied for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Attended Jackson-Hewitt's Preparer school, and completed their certification.
I have a college degree, and I have completed college-level courses in accounting and finance, as well as continuing education courses annually, to keep up with the Tax law changes.
I am a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals, and participate in their annual CE and training.

Our Return preparation is priced based on the forms involved, and the complexity of the data being provided by the taxpayer.
Each situation is different, so the prices may vary, but the customer will always be provided a great value and great service, at an affordable price.
How did you get started in this business?
The company was founded by me and my best friend, Bill. We wanted to provide a low-cost service as a means to bring some peace and assurance to people who were frustrated with the tax system, who felt powerless to change their situation or to make good decisions about their finances.
