Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will meet and talk about your goals for your money, your risk tolerance and put a plan together that you are happy with and that makes sense for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Financial Advisor for over 25 years. I am a Fiduciary and a Registered Investment Advisor. I am also Independent and able to offer any investment that you are interested in.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing all depends on the plan that we put together. The first consultation is always free so we can decide if you even need my services or if you could do them on your own. Some basic plans are also free depending on what products you decide fit your situation.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started actually in 1995. I was in the military and my wife and I had a baby. I had always been interested in finance and was studying that in college while I was in the Air Force. I met with a Financial Advisor and was telling them the types of investments I was interested in. He ended up hiring me to work for him part time and I was hooked.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have clients in all age brackets and income levels. I do specialize in people over the age of 50 but I have clients in all age ranges.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I volunteer with the Lung Transplant Foundation of North Carolina. I also am the main sponsor of their annual Golf Tournament. It is a fun time and the money goes to a very good cause.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find out what licenses they have an if they are a Fiduciary. A Fiduciary is required to put your needs first. I know that sounds crazy but there are a lot of people out there that call themselves a Financial Advisor but they really aren't.
