River Hills Counseling
About
I am licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Addictions Specialist. It is my goal as a therapist to assist individuals on their journey of finding more balance in life. I have over a decade of experience in mental health and specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also offer distance counseling and nature therapy for individuals who would benefit from the flexibility due to busy schedules or prefer therapy outside of a conventional office setting. I strive to help individuals address feelings of being overwhelmed by life's demands and begin working towards a life they envision for themselves.
I enjoy helping others work to identify and work towards what they need in order to live a fulfilled and purposeful life.

I mostly.have worked with people struggling with depression and anxiety as well and being overwhelmed with stress. However, I do have many years of experience also working with individuals with bipolar and borderline personality disorders, as well as, severe and persistently mentally.ill adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy watching tennis and gymnastics competitions.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would tell someone looking for a mental health provider to seek out a professional that they connect with. You can't always tell if a therapist is the right one for you after one session. However, never hesitate to switch to a different provider if you just don't "vibe" with the therapist you initially choose. Good therapists will understand and wont get offended. We are here to assist you, it's not about us.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How often they would like to meet ( weekly or.biweekly, monthly)
Do you prefer traditional face to face therapy or online counseling
